I am sure many of you are familiar with the virtual dub and virtual dub mod applications. I am hopping to find a similar application for editing mkv files.

For those unfamiliar with those apps I am looking for soemthing to use to where I can crop, if you will, MKV files. For example, being able to cut a 15 min clip out of a mkv file with a 2 hour run time.

    Thanks!

Not an editor, but MKVmerge GUI will allow you to
create a new MKV out of your existing one. On the Global
tab you can enter timecodes for beginning/end points, etc.

Thanks might give that a try, all though I was hopping for something a little more precise.

Have you looked at Avidemux ?
It has some support for MKV, although I've not personally tried it.
