What are some of the best places to shop for computer parts in the u.s.? Im still limited to Newegg(even though I love that site) but I want some other places with possible cheaper deals. I just learned about performance-pcs.com, they have a HUGE selection of extra stuff like accessories, lighting and misc cooling. I just wouldnt build a whole computer from them...

tigerdirect.com is another great site. fortunately for me, they have a distribution center in the next state over, so i get all my parts the day after i order them as long as i order early in the day.

Pricewatch.com is a good source for parts that are not available at newegg/tigerdirect. I have had good experiences with ANTOnline as well...they have some 'oddball' items that the others do not have.

Directron.com ; It's based in Houston,Texas. I ordered some NEC 7200S burners yesterday and UPS delivered them today. I live in South Central Louisiana (225 Miles). My cousin has a computer business in Houston; We bought many parts from them.

Then there is Frys.com ; There are 3 around Houston. I have picked up many good deals from their Friday Sale Paper.

And last is: Microcenter.com ;They also have a place in Houston.

These places have been good to me! I have also bought stuff from: Newegg, TigerDirect, Offic Depot, Office Max (When they were in Lafayette,Louisiana), Walmart and BestBuy (almost all my Verbatim and Sony DVDs when on sale).

    Burn On,
    Russell

PS. Watch the sales, free shipping and if you can buy locally.
Added: I look for price, speed, quality and customer service.
Directron and Newegg good customer service.
Directron good speed at cheepest shipping.
Newegg slow shipping, but sometimes free!

if your looking for verbs, then go to sams club. 50 pack of dual layers for 60 bucks, MIS also. cheapest ive found anywhere. and definitely better than any price you will get at rip-off best buy.
