Basically I'm trying to back up one of my dvds. The problem: It's a actual official Warner bros dvd, so it has protection/encryption etc. Now I've got experience in terms of burning etc, but ive never attempted to burn a dvd with protection/encryption ( well i have once but it didn't work out so I never bothered from there). Now i understand I have to rip the image onto the hard drive then burn it from there. But ripping it onto the hard drive is the hard part so far(I'm assuming it gets easier). The 3 programs I've tried are: Dvd shrink - That wont even analyze the disc. Dvd decrypter - That rips it till half way then it says something about a key missing or something (I'm assuming its talking about the encryption/protection) Imgburn - Same deal as above, Just below i wrote what it actually says when it gets to half way. Thanks for your time and thank you in advance for any help =)!
DVDFab HD Decrypter to rip the DVD (the old DVD Decrypter hasn't been updated in years). Use 'FixVTS' on the ripped files to ensure DVD compliance. Open the output from FixVTS in DVD Shrink. Use ImgBurn to burn the folder to disk. http://www.videohelp.com/tools/DVDFab_Decrypter http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_tools/fixvts.cfm
