Need help!!!! I have been experiencing svchost problem where this process waste cpu cycles and leaks and consume virtual memory sze. It consumes to 100% and frezes. I've been googling about this problem but it didnt help. This computer kills me everytime. I have to restart. Got any ideas???
Not entirely sure if this will help, but I reckon it's worth a try. Try malwarebytes anti malware. It's a great program to remove these sorts of problems.
Hi XLR83r Sounds like a common XP problem. One common cause of this problem is Microsoft Update. Turn off Automatic Updates using services.msc, or at least set its Startup Type to Manual, and that will stop Microsoft Update from automatically loading and wasting your CPU. If that doesn't work, post here and we can come back with the entire anti-svchost arsenal! Best Regards
i have solved the problem by turning the no exceptions tab in the firewall. but svchost problem does come back occasionally...
Problem not solved either. After months of observing...... It didint solve my problem..... It became worst. Making my firewall no exceptions........ here are the problems.... 1.) Utorrent is denied.... 2.) Internet conection is slow.... 3.) Doesnt allow my Router to connect...... 4.) This is how I discover it....and I dont know why..... 5.) If I turn off the no exception list...... My virtual memory goes high..... 6.) Either turning on or off.... wont solve my problem either...... beause neither one of them is helpful.... 7.) Either the way I have still option like..... a.) Turn on the exception list if not downloading anything... and turn it off if using download programs b.) reformat which reformats all the 145,978 Files in my hardrive.... with no backup or whatsoever So your saying you have many arsenals................. Can I try one or all.......... because I'm not in the mind to choose what options should I do....
after waiting for your replies and svchost.exe arsenals........ I havnt lose hope and tried googling and researching..... And eureka I sovled the problem.... There are many causes of svchost problem... 1.) Printer 2.) corrupt dll 3.) Automatic Updates 4.) Network 5.) Firewall 6.) wrong configuration of svchost..... ANd my problem is in the Firewall and services in svchost.. better make a guide for this... since It's the first time I had fix the problem by myself... SO thank you for helping and not helping.....
