I do not have a dvd rom on my pc. I do however have a dvdrom on my xbox. And long story short i can rip the dvd onto my xbox then ftp the files over to my pc. I was wondering if there is anyway to take off the copyprotection (IE: scrambled audio and video when I try to play it back...) I downloaded dvd decrypter, but im not sure if this will work. I need something that can take the protection off after the dvd has been ripped. Is this possible or am I out of luck?
Expert advice: Shell out $30 for a DVD-ROM to put in your PC. DVD Decrypter will strip out the copy protection, why haven't you tried it?
I am going to try dvd decrypter today to see if it works. I would also like to know why this thread was moved to the xbox discussion. I was in need of software that can take the protection off a dvd after it has been ripped. The fact that I used my xbox to rip it does not mean it is an xbox topic? I would be led to believe that someone on the dvd ripping forum would be willing and able to help me than someone on an xbox forum...o well..mods can overlook things sometimes...
DVD2XBOX is supposed to rip DVD movies or games to your XBOX hard drive provided that you have a mod installed. Hope this helps Matt
It is supposed to remove 2 types of copy protection. check it out.. It's a really cool program. I use it alot Matt
