radeon 3850

    hello i got a new asus 3850 1gb card. i had a geforce 5900u that i flashed to a 5950u. can i flash a 3850 to a 3870

    Yes, you can flash to a 3870.
    Yes, it might start once flashed to 3870.

    However there are a few issues:
    -It will probably be instable unless you have lots of cooling on it.
    -Even if it is stable, you may see artifacts in some games.

    If you want more speed, you can use one of the many programs that allow you to overclock the card from windows. Even if you are dead-set on re-flashing the card, you should use the windows programs first to make sure that it will be stable at the higher speeds.
