hi been awhile since i posted here i have the version Dr.Divx that i paid for a few years ago. although it seems to not register anymore it still seems to work. hwat is the new name and version of this as i like Divx

The latest version should be dr.divx 2.0, the program is free now (open source) but you have to supply the DIVX encoder.

I use to use Dr.Divx also but ran into too many audio/video sync problems that I could never fix. It does provide some of the best quality available.

Now I use fairuse wizard (also uses divx encoder if available) this program keeps all my conversions in perfect sync. Now I use the h264 codec which is very similar in quality to Divx.

thank you for answering, was getting cold being in here alone lol. i went to dixv site and was never able to see a new one listed but now after your help i do. i am going to try this fair use also. i have a dvd player that plays most all codec and types of recorded dvd's including divx. think it will play this also(FairUse) and the h264 codec?
