I have a zv6000 hp laptop in which the motherboard just crapped out. Seems to be pretty common. I bought another motherboard installed it but am getting an issue on where the lcd's does not light up. I see images on the screen and it boots into windows. For some reason it wont light up the screen. If I install the old motherboard it will light the screen but not post. The guy I bought the motherboard from states that he tested the motherboard before he sent it out and everything was working fine. Could my inverter or wiring to the inverter be bad?

If it works with the old mainboard, then it works. Seems like the new mainboard is either not an exact match, or is bad.
