Hi all. Thanks in advance for the eventual answers.

I need to upload via internet, possibly through an hosting website, a medium sized file to send to a friend of mine who is not a pc expert(I think that it could be simple to send him something like a download link) and then he will need to do the same thing with me(vice versa). I was wondering what's the best, the fastest and the simplest way to upload this file so I thought to ask here if someone could may help me and know a solution to this problem.

    Thanks

Just upload the file to a filesharing site such as MegaUpload or Rapidshare and then call your friend or start a IM chat with him/her and walk him/her through downloading and uploading the file(s).

Yes there all free. You upload the file, they give you a download link and host it for a set amount of time. You send the link to somebody, they click the link, complete a CAPTCHA, and then they download the file. All 100% free.

Honestly I haven't used them enough to know. But I would bet that if you go to any of them you could find a link that could answer all your questions.

yeah I'm sure they have all the info, but i've never used them and was just curious. thats pretty sweet that its all free though. i totally thought that file hosting sites like that would charge a fee. i guess with the speed of the internet and enormous hard drives these days, hosting a few gigs is nothing...LOL
