    Hey all!

I have a computer that has Windows Media Center Edition on it. It crashed last week and I don't have a CD or DVD to repair or reinstall. I got the computer from Dell a few years ago. I do have a Windows Key so I'm not worried about that. What I would like to know is which Windows Media Center Edition should I get? I've been looking for torrents but there are so many. Here is a list of a few that I have come across:

Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005
windows Xp media center edition 2005 Sp2 Bootable Dvd
    windows XP mediacenter LIVE edition
Microsoft windows XP media center edition with SP3 OEM MSDN
Microsoft windows XP Pro media center edition 2005
Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 + SP3

I don't know which one to download. I just want to be sure that my Windows Key will work for the one that I download.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch!!

The first one looks like the best bet if you want it to work with your system key.

When I went to download the first one there are two ISO files. I think the operating system is on two CDs. I've never seen an operating system on 2 CDs. Do you think that it is legit?

I would check my user manual or dell website for any info to see if the comp has a recovery partition which it should as all OEM manufacturers provide one from as early as 2002 onwards which is why you have no disks but a key on the rear of the comp, perhaps on reboot you could try F1,F2,F10 tho those are for hp's to access the recovery console

waste of time installing windows 7 just to have to uninstall it when the beta time frame runs out

The base of WMC is XP Prof it's usually the last disc that contains the media center part
