You mean with Kevin Costner? I backed it up with DVD Shrink (main movie only with English audio tracks and subtitles in re-author, as usual)and burned the files with Nero 6.x.

    Hello,

    DVD Shrink error said:

DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue

    Failed to read file "D:\"

    Data error (cyclic redundancy check)

Does that mean the DVD is not good? It was okay when we whtched it.

    Thanks

It means your drive can't read parts of the disc because the disc may be dirty/scratched or it has bad spots from the factory (which is rare but not unkown).

Players are made to compensate for the little errors that will drive a DVD-ROM mad :)

Thank you, grateful for the information.

The DVD is new played twice on stand alone DVD player.
using a hp DVD 300e usb on the pc. Firm ware is up to date. Checked that out right away. Wonder if they give you a prise for getting the one with the glitch? :) Wonder if they would replace it? :) Think I will try to get a replacement. :) arnold2
