laptop does not connect to sony bravia tv

    i am using a high performance monitor cable to connect my laptop to my sony bravia tv but all im getting is a blank screen with no sync in the top left corner of the tv screen. can anyone please help me with this.

    Have you enabled external monitor output on your laptop?

    just realised that went i had sent the thread i enabled the external monitor by pressing Fn and F8 on my laptop. Thanks for ur help everything is working perfect now.
