My other half has just purchased a LLoytron Jumbo univesal remote model A429. The codes I need for my TV & DVD are not in the book, does anyone know or point me in the right direction for these codes?
TV - Technosonic 32" LCD - Bought from Woollies approx 2 - 3 years ago.
    DVD - Liteon HD-A740GX
    Thanks in advance

Typically, if your specific device code is not listed, you are left to trial and error within the brand.

That is, try each of the codes for Technosonic until the power on/off work, then see if the other codes match up to your model.

The Technosonic is not listed so we did the one where we press the on/off over 300 times to see the tv switch off, but it never did.

Well, apparently you are not the only one with the problem. It appears to be an odd TV set. I found a reference that says it uses the same power supply as some Grundig models, but little else on this TV and no one appears to have resolved this problem.

Since it's a UK brand I can't use my usual resources. Sorry about that. I have a K-World tuner box with the same problem and it appears K-World used a proprietary scheme for the remote control.

The only other thing that I can think of trying is the "learn" mode if your Universal remote has one.
