    Hi Everyone

I rencently installed windows 7 RC1 on my laptop. Everything installed fine and the os is running very smoothly. But recently when I try to restart, sleep, log off or shutdown it would just go to the log off screen and stay there. I'm almost certain it's a process/virus thats stopping me turnoff. But I checked task manager and there's nothing out of the ordernary. So then I closed all the programs I could eg:nero, avg ect. But still it wouldn't turn off. So I'm really puzzled.
I've already reinstall windows once before so I don't want to do it again.

Any help I could get would be great.

    Cheers Hasamoder

I would check your antivirus/firewall/or antispyware software that might be preventing the shutdown. Sometimes you have to actually remove the software. When you close the programs it might still have process running in the background.
Also make sure there is no sd card pluggedin or dvd in the dvdrom.
