just changed the thermal paste with AC MX-2 on a amd 5000+ i cleaned everything and applied the paste. after doing that now i think that im experiencing higher temps 49-57'c right now just using G.Chrome wit 4 tabs and like 4 apps. is that temperature normal? i remember reading 44'c but in bios it went down to 33'c.

im just confused but so far idle 49 and running crysis low quality, high resolution 62'c

also im having trouble removing the plastic case on my 8800gt frome evga

Did you make sure to spread it thin? A thick layer of the stuff will work worse than a thin layer of the cheap stuff. Also, it takes a while to "burn-in" the compound...it seems to work better after about a day of full load.
