while install xp...why the service pack necessary.. what is the process of it...can any one give a brief about it..
There are some programs that will only work on xp sp2 and a few that require xp sp3. I would at least want xp sp2 it has most of the latest fixes. Each service pack has the most up to date "security patches", sp3 being the most complete. If you have an originsl xp disc with sp1, you can update to the latest version quite easily. All you have to do is slipstream it. The slipstream software is free on the internet. It just needs your xp disc and the latest service pack and it will build you a new xp disc.
