HELP please

ok was on earlier and about no signal to my starview 2 and got told to update to the latest firmware 8.04 i was told but when i went looking for this it was not for my box the only new firmware was 4.54.

I have loaded this and it has sent my box into crazy land with all sorts of writing making it impssible to see what channel i am selecting from the EPG the channels are still there but i cant make a favourite list or anything.

Have i put the correct firmware on for my box the starview 2 "THE BOX"

 

Problem solved done a factory reset and loaded firmware again.

I didnt want to start a new thread so hope you all dnt mind me posting here.
My Sv 2 box went approx 2-3 mnths ago and while i was waiting on all you gifted guys i decided to disconnect it and monitor afterdawn frequently to see if anyone had found the solution.But its obvious to me that its basicly f'd!!
But my question is,how come 3 of my mates in the portarlington area have not lost theirs?bought at the same time etc.
I dont live in portarlington but im about 10 min drive from there?
anyone tell me why?
