HDD suggestions for a slim ps2

I was wondering what suggestions of what type of HDD for a slim ps2 with USB Extreme would be? I'm fairly new to this project.

I would use an USB 2.0 hard drive that uses its own power supply , that is USB 1.1 backward compatible and that is no larger than 300GB

I used to use a Samsung 300GB USB external drive.

Just don't use pen drives under 10gb as they really aren't that compatible or the performance isn't that great.

do i need to use usblaunch for this?
i tried the winhiip to a WD500G and that did not work with HDLoader.

You need the usb utility to transfer games from pc to USB drive

Yeah Winhiip is for PS2 IDE hdd which only work up to V13 PS2.
