how to connect a acer laptop to a tv

    Im connected my acer aspire 3620 laptop to lcd. thru vga. when i start comp my tv shows a option of windows pro or home. when i choose one windows loads and then tv goes blue and laptop screen starts

    You need to actually activate the TV as a second screen from your laptop. There's usually a key combination to start it off (Fn key + one of the number or F keys, for the laptop I'm using right now it's Fn + F8, yours may be different)

    Thanks I figured it out. Incase any 1 needs this this is what i did.

    Start control panel apperence and themes display settings ... click the number 2 screen and click use as primary monitor and show display. the click 1 and unclick use this as primary monitor. just like the above response says.... Then for my comp wich is acer. I took me hours to figure out. close everything. right click ur desktop,wich is the screen where ur icons are, and it says graphic options and choose output to monitor.

    Hope this helps someone

    For some reason the fn didnt work with any f keys
