volume low problem with razr motorola phone

    my other half is having this problem with her motorola razr phone.when she makes a call os someone rings her phone the volume is gone very low ,is there a way to fix this as she likes the phone and doesnt really want to upgrade it, i am posting as it would probably be cheaper to buy a new one rather than give it in for repair,any ideas thanks
