Difficult to say exactly, but why sell such a modern system? Is there anythig wrong with it? (Apart from the PSU of course)

Then why sell it? If you want to upgrade, you don't need to sell that PC and start again.

Sure that's the right product number? There's absolutely nothing out there on the internet that mentions a Logitech LS52.
Excluding the speakers, the system is worth about $550 new, so second hand, maybe $450, something like that?

IMHO, 50-75% of the current retail parts price. PCs depreciate faster than automobiles.

Well, that depends on age. Most of his stuff is current gear.

Personally I wouldn't pay more than £55-70 for it.. used parts are pretty much worthless... I get systems like this as scrappers in boxes and sell them on for about £60 with a monitor and a keyboard and stuff.

Not quad cores with 9800s you don't, else your mad. You could still sell that graphics card on its own for that, the CPU for more than that. Granted, the RAM and PSU are worthless, and the HDD isn't worth very much, nor the motherboard or peripherals. The monitor's reasonable though since it's the high res 1680 one with DVI and the 'performance backbone' of the system is still worth a fair bit. In the UK I'd probably say maybe £250, that sort of figure. Thing is I know the system's probably going to go up in flames in a few months due to the shoddy power supply. Without that knowledge or if it had a decent PSU I'd almost certainly value it higher.

OK, I did a "5 min. search" on current pricing for his components.

Without price optimization, I come up with $700.00 (incl. tax and S&H) for the parts.

my figure of 50%-75% was based on what a pawn shop/used computer store would pay (lowball) vs. a reasonable private party sale (high). that would make it $350-500
