bought this program, installed it burns already burnt dvds.
copies the shop bought dvds but when you try to burn it it stops and says burning failed, my friend has the same program and when she has the same movie there is no problem with hers burning it.I have checked the set up of mine and hers and it seems to be set up exactly the same so i can't work out what is going wrong

Alot of things can go wrong.

What type of blank disc do you have?
What speed are you burning at?
What is the Make and Model of your Burner?
    How old is it?
How much memory do you have?
Have you Defragged your Computer lately?
    Are you Multi-tasking While burning?
Can you post a Burn log?

You could try Burning with imgburn.

    It Could be the Disc.
Slow your Burn speed down to 8X.
Give The Make and Model of your Burner
    Check for a firmware update.
Burn log is a log your Burning program Keeps that lets you know what your burner is doing.

Try Burning with imgburn. (Free) It's the best Burning Sotware Ever.
