I have used my samsung tv with a phillips dvd player via HDMI for 4 months with no issues. Today, the tv says no signal when choosing the HDMI (dvd) input. I got a new HDMI chord and still same problem. I called Phillips support on the phone and they had no idea why it wasn't working. I fear its the more expensive tv that is no receiving the signal. If anybody has any ideas, I am all ears. I have tried unplugging both components, tried different HDMI ports on tv. All the basic stuff. Please help if you have the time! Thanks!

If you could tell me the exact model number of your TV and DVD player I might be able to help.

Is your DVD player already on when your TV is on or do you turn it on after you turn your TV on. Try turning the DVD on first. Also try plugging the HDMI cable into different ports, and make sure all the connections are good. Also make sure your TV is on the right channel for HDMI input. If there are any settings on your DVD player that you can change ,try playing around with those.

I am having the same exact problem. I have a panasonic dvd player and a netflix roku box and they both quit working, so I know it is the tv. I have a Sharp Aquos tv. I have replaced the cables in the past and it worked, so I assumed the cable was going out until I used one of the cables on something else one day and it worked. The last time this happened was about a month ago, I unpluged everything, cords (hdmi and power) and let it sit for about 20 minutes and then plugged it back up and it started working. It is like something is kicking the hdmi ports off in the tv and they have to reset. Anyone have any clue what would cause this????
