I am having troubles connecting my home theater to my tv. I have every setup right what i mean is: I want to connect it to the TV so I can get surround sound from my Satellite Box, and my Xbox 360. I have a SHARP LCD TV Model: LC-32SH12U, and my home theater system is a SAMSUNG Model:HT-Z310.

My TV doe not support optical cable, just coaxial, and I have a coaxial cable from the digital audio output to a coaxial to optical converter, and from that to my home theater system, but In the menu i can't chose to use the digital audio oitput. What might be the problem. Please help me so I can get surround sound without having to buy too many cables.

P.S My xbox 360 does not have a port for optical cable

    Thanks in advance

Check your TV manual. Most, if not all, do not support multi-channel output, only stereo.

Run your sources direct to your receiver.
