    Hi,

I have ripped DVD(s) to my hard drive using Smart Ripper. That RIP of the movie works fine using DVD software programs. Now, when I try and encode to DiVX / MPEG using FLASK MPEG there's NO SOUND! (the picture is just fine). Too see if I have made the correct settings, I encode a 5-10 min. segment of the movie. That segment, the sound is fine, the picture is fine, but when I waste 8 - 10 hours (on average) encoding the whole thing, it never has any sound. Ive done this 3 TIMES now, and always the same results. I have tryed numerous input and output settings, but I always use MPEG-3 sound codec and DiVX 4.11 Video codec for the output and I'm encoding them into the SAME output file (im not separating vid and sound). One more little addition, when I use FLASK MPEG, to open a "file" I have tryed using "open file" AND "open DVD" - and both end up with the same no-sound-results.

Am I just missing something very stupid?

Thank you in advance for help!

Seriously, time to change the tool. FlaskMPEG was the best.. But that was back in 1999. Since then, helluva lots of things have happened in DVD ripping. Some guides you might want to look at:
