I need help unlocking my iPhone 3G 2.2

I've downloaded Quickpwn and the iPhone 2.2 5G77 restore firmware.

When i go through Quickpwn everything goes smoothly until it gets to the instruction: 'Wait for your iPhone to connect in Recovery Mode'

Nothing happens, it just sits there!

Can anyone help me with this problem please?!?

 

did you put your iphone in recovery mode?

 

I thought that Quickpwn is supposed to put your phone into recovery mode on it's own.

If not, can you please tell me how to do it myself?

i suggest you upgrade to OS 3.0 and use Ultrasn0w, you will get a more updated OS with nice features and you will still be able to make calls

 

Alright, I'll try. I've already messed up by wiping out everything off my phone.

500+ pictures, 100+ contacts, gone.

Any way to fix that? :/
