360 possible corrupted save file?

I've been playing too human co-op w/ a friend for a while and before work today i clicked save, waited for it and shut my xbox off (without exiting game). When I got done I put the game in and went to load my campaign but it showed i had no available characters. I could not find any available characters under the manage/create character screen either. However when i got to my memory blade on the dashboard i can clearly see my character save under save slot 1.

I searched online to no avail, and cannot find a similar problem. I'm afraid this could be a corrupt game save which would really suck since i have over 10 hours of gameplay. anyone have any suggestions or possible solutions or know that i'm screwed for sure? btw i have not done

start the game again, a similar thing happened to me, i put 30 hours into final fantasy VII on my psp got right to the very end of disc 1 an the game jus crashed so i loaded it up again, NO SAVE DATA, man i was pissed,
i know this does not help but you only lost about 10 hours, so maybe that makes you feel less shit about it

Go to the game save file on your hdd/memory stick, if it is corrupt it will have an exclamation mark and no name, if you can see the game save file then it is not corrupt

hmm thanks there is no indication in the blade of a corrupt file and i see it perfectly. i created a new game save which shows up exactly the same (except for name of course) in the system blade and that one is still visible in the game however the other one still is not.
