i have a 7600 GS video card with dvi and vga port...i was looking at pickin up a cheap 15 in monitor and i wanted to run streaming video(netflix) on 1 monitor and my normal desktop on the other...how do i go about doing this?
Get the monitor, attach it then turn on tv & monitor then boot comp both will be detected then go to control panel or system tray & look for nvidia control panel the rest is self explanatory the only issue you'll have is the power of the comp to run two separate desktops running diff apps on each by dragging
run whatever option in the nvidia control panel that suits your needs,if for some reason there is an issue choose one of the other two
Hi chnky 18, Here is a link to a video which covers the basics. http://www.labrats.tv/episodes/ep97.html
You should know that netflix will not stay maximized on the second screen, even if you use media center. Every time you click something on the first screen, it comes out of full screen. Netflix knows about this problem, and they don't seem to care.
