Ok, i installed the new Xecuter 2.3b lite + or whatever it is. No new dashboard is set up on my xbox. Also, i notcied they said that when you flip the switch to disabled, the green light should come on on the chip. I have both blue lights on (i can see it through the side of my box) but when i turn it to disabled, i see no green light. Is that bad? Will it not work then? I dont know what to do can someone help. Thanks
YOu need to flash it. THe chip dose not have a dashboard. From your thread it seems you are a little unsure. There are a ton of tutorials out there. Goto google and search for xbox-scene. YOu have some research to do. Good Luck!!!
Hey thanks for the response. So i shouldnt see a difference with the m7 bios. Ok then i believe it worked. How do i install the evox dash? I made a boot cd with default.xbe and evox.ini. I also left all of the folders (skins and stuff like that). I made it an .iso file and burned it to a memorex cd-rw (same type i used for the bios). Now when i put that into the cd and start it up, it says cannot read disk please insert a music cd, dvd yadda yadda yadda. What am i doing wrong? Can it be ( i just realized this being at work) that i didnt have my rj-45 connected into the back of it. I use a router to connect so i dont have to mess around with any settings. Would that be it though? Did i create the cd wrong. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! -Michael
Ok so what i take from your messages is that you got a mod chip installed and have it flashed with the m7 bios. Thats 2 of 3 steps, very good. Your final one is easy if you listen to me. Go find the Slayer 2.5 auto installer, (i think its 2.5, could be something else, but it is slayer auto installer) Now when you get that file , which is about 200MB or so, burn it to cdrw or dvd-r as an ISO. I found the dvd r works better. Put the dvd in the drive and your modchip should boot the disk to a new dashboard. Then from that dashboard install the dashboard to the hdd. Its really easy, cuz its just following the directions on screen
