DVD player not reading my DVD Ram

    I have a problem, I recently bought a DVD camcoder, thing is it records on to DVD Ram discs and my DVD player doesnt read them, what I end up doing is ripping the DVD Ram disc on my pc converting it to Mpeg and then burning it in vcd or svcd. is there another, maybe an option i overlooked on these cameras or am i stuck converting my movies till i get a new dvd player? thnx for any replies.

    got a new dvd ram but wont read disk i click on my computer but the file not there how can i get this to work and cd ram on my comp[uter file so i can click on it to get it to work

    DVD-RAM is completely different than DVD-R or +R. I think you're stuck.

    If you are looking for a new player, most of the Panasonics will play DVD-RAM.
