I have been researching this drive for the xbox and have found that this drive bearly read ANY dvd+r media at all, mabye very few. But it primarily reads dvd-r media. But, for all of you who have a dvd+rw burner, I have a solution for you. I have tested TDK DVD+RW media and it works PERFECT! I couldn't beleive it, 1.5 version xbox I got and a samsung drive (the one with 2 holes in it) It works great and is recommended. Also, this media also works in Version 9 of PS2, I have tested it. And you can rewrite to this discs to backup new ones over the old ones! Really awesome! I hope this helps everyone! Try to buy these discs on ebay.com that is where i got mine!
Thanks! I've got a samsung and tried to use DVD-RW and it did not work. Were you able to back up games to it? Or, just data?
Games to it my friend, all GAMES! And DVD movies! It is so awesome! And you can rewrite the games too! Its a miracle for all who have the samsung drive and only a dvd+rw burneR! If you need help burning the game, reply to this message, i will check tomorrow.
