I made a bios boot disc with the x2_4977 bios.
    It seemed to flash successfully.
But when I turned my xbox back on, it turned itself on and off about 4 times and then just started flashing red and green.
I'm not sure what went wrong.

This means you have a bad bios... I don't know what chip you have but you should change bank to boot on the cromwell bios again and then flash with a different bios

I have an xecuter lite 2.3b installed.
So I guess I have to get a new one.
    Thank you for your help.

If you know someone who has a workinf 2.3b you could do a hotswap. Reply if you know someone with a another modded xbox with the same chip and I'll help you with the hotswap.

all you have to do is return the modchip to the retailer and they will probably use the programmer to reprogram it. That is the only way. You messed up the chip by installing the 4977 bios. That bios is not compatible with the 2.3blite+, I made that mistake back when I was a newbie, but I got it reprogramed by modchipman.com You should just ask the place where you bought it if they can reprogram it for you. Im 100% sure thats the problem if you used the 4977 bios on the 2.3b lite chip.

Yeah you are right about 4977. I did the same thing but sending it back is not the only way. You should use 4979 or higher. I did a hotswap and had no problem. I used another xbox with a 2.3 and a program called FlashX. The program was written by Team Xecuter. If the company will reprogram it then send it back, but If they won't then hotswapping will work.

    Thanks for the help.
I have a friend who says he can help me hot swap it.
    So I'll try that out.
