Any advice on applying my own scratch resistance coatings to cdrs? I've never used any sort of label on a cdr before so I'm a bit unfamiliar with the options that might be out there. I'm not interested in printing on the disk either, just merely looking for an affordable protective layer I can apply, preferably clear - to hopefully keep some old Sony's I have from further delaminating, and to protect some new taiyo yudens that seem to have very little or no protective coating at all.

Like the kind they attach on the disks at the library. Basically, a clear protective coating that seems to stick on. Anybody know about this stuff?

Just put your cds in a box and keep them safe. These scrath resistancent coatings you are talking about dont work very well.Sometimes they can make discs spin strangley and make a really annoying noise.
