Ho ho!!! Interfacelift has Multnomah Falls! Im not even 150 Miles from there. VERY cool. You know, you wouldn't believe it unless you saw it, but I actually stood, not 3 feet from the edge. BELIEVE IT! I wanted to get closer too. At the time anyway. See...people use it as a wishing well(at the time anyway). And I saw multiple half dollars close to the edge. I COLLECT THEM! I was 15 yrs old at the time. *Sigh* memories :) Of course I would never touch a persons wish now LOL! I THINK its 70-100ft to the bottom of the main fall.

Actually, come to think of it, it may have been the higher up fall in the pic, that I was standing at.

EDIT - Now im not certain which fall I was standing at. 15 yrs is a long time. Im actually thinking it was the lower falls now, and the lower falls is only 50-75 feet to the bottom.

Or how about this little gem! One of my favorite movies LOL!

I think I can safely say that interfacelift is by FAR the best place for desktop backgrounds - you'd be surprised, but others don't even fit my 'little' 1440x900, simply because most you find just lying around the net are 1240x1024 (at most). Plus, they have literally hundreds of beautiful photographs :)

My monitors are all 1440x900 too. I downloaded 120+ images off Interfacelift as my W7 wallpaper slideshow

Going in a way more sensible direction... minimal power.. minimal bloat. A home made operating system (lfs v4.8 streamlined right down) using the debian repositories. 32mb's ram.. 266 cpu . 6 gig WD caviar hdd

    Creaky will appreciate this XD

    Very nice Varnull :)

I tried the same thing with LFS but I couldn't get anywhere XD

I will admit cheating a little. I built the kernel and modules on a much faster machine, then patched them later after swapping them across.

Then again.. you could get very much the same results by just installing the core system in lo-ram mode.. then adding just the bits required.

Right now I'm in the middle of backing up 6 years worth of odds and ends before a total rebuild from scratch of this.. my internet and mission control.. amd1900+

Every OS needs a reformat and refresh once in a while for peak condition. Linux included XD

I'll have to admit though that I'm comparatively Linux retarded. I'm a PC gamer XD

I like this screensaver. The first time I saw it, was on display in either costco, bestbuy, circuit city, etc. Here is a thought to make it a little better. Because currently they simply look like balls on a pool table. If they were to allow their light source to move slowly, it might appear like the rising/setting sun :D Perhaps even brief moments of glare, or simply more settings for the screensaver.

Something to note about that particular screensaver, is that before it engages, it takes a "still shot" of your desktop. So, when its running, dont trust anything such as, clock, temperature, etc.
