    There are three major things you need to be looking at here:

    contrast ratio (want at least 10,000:1);
    resolution (720p or 1080p doesn't matter on a 32");
    refresh rate (120Hz, or some other rate to support 24 fps film);

    In the model you linked to, the contrast ratio was 3,500:1. That's pretty bad. It also only supports 60 Hz, which is unacceptable since you will be using a PS3 and thus BluRay. Only 120Hz, 24Hz, or other multiples of 24 Hz will produce a superior picture from BluRay.

    to be honest i cant tell alot of differanc from my 42" 120hz, 10,000:1,1080p from my 37" 60hz 3500:1 1080p, i will say the blacks are darker on my 42" but it was also $1000 bux more,if you are realy into watching movies and playing games id spend a bit more and in my humble opinion response time is the most important thing for gaming 8-4ms is just fine i think

    If you're watching TV, 60 Hz won't matter, because TV shows are 30 fps. For BluRay though, at 24 fps, it will matter. In theory it matters for 24 fps DVDs as well.

    For gaming response time is very important too. I agree.
