Just backed up jmy Max Payne 2. Works fine in my modded x-box as well as two other machines I've modded. (xecuter lite chip) HOWEVER, when I put it in a third xbox it goes 3/4 of the way up the loading new game bar then just stops ?!? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
My guess is that it would depend on the particular drive in that machine. There are three drives: Thomson Phillips Samsung Believe it or not...Thomson may not be the best drive but it actually will play DVD+R and I don't think the others will. If you do a search there is a list developed on here just a week or two ago that has a poll as to what media people had success with for each drive. Check it out as it may prove useful. If I had the page or link I would give it to you but it should be within the first 5 or 6 pages.
Cheers m8. Just for the record the xbox has a Samsung drive fitted and will play all the other backups (abouut 150) effortlessly. Still a bit of a mystery innit !!!!
Yeah, seems strange. Like I told the person in the last thread...only buy Ritek if you are having problems. I just bought the Pioneer 107 the returned it and got the new Plextor drive. I tried to up the firmware on the Pioneer using Princo media and the back of the disc looked like a vinyl record on the back. I got rid of the Pioneer drive and Princo media and bought Memorex 4X DVD-R. Not sure if you know this but Memorex DVD-R is actually Ritek...they are the OEM for many including Fuji, Memorex, Verbatim, etc.
