What CD-RW will work with a PHILLIPS drive

PLEASE someone help me before i explode...lol..I am trying to flash my 2.3 lite chip for the longest while i tried almost all known CDR no luck, now i am trying to use CD-RW's now i have seen a litle progress. on the screen i now can see the label but i still get a NO BIOS CAN BE FOUND ...i have look at all known tutorials and all can be said is either the drive don't like the CD-RW being used or i made the disc wrong...OK I KNOW I MADE THE DISC ALL OF THEM RIGHT os the other is the media...please if someone flashed a 2.3 lite chip using a CD-RW please tell me the brand used....MY XBOX drive is a PHILLIPS and a V1.1

are yoj burning the disc correctly?

try the memorex 4x cd-rw's my freind has a philips drive and they have never failed him.

 

i had major probs flashing with the philips drive! ended up swapping drives for a samsung one in another xbox to flash it then swapping back. For the record i tried memorex and ridata which both worked fine in a thomson drive aswell as the samsung. One thing that does puzzle me is that you said yours is a v1.1?? that should have a samsung drive in. the philips didn't go in until 1.4 or 1.5??

Thanks , i am using memorex 4x and i think i am burning it correct ..but no luck ..and sorry it was my mistake with the ver its 1.3 sorry i was working on a ver 1.1 at the time ....anyway can anyone send me any info upon where u think i am going wrong in the burning process...i followed instructions on evilzmods.

hey painkiller... i used memorex cd-rw you should follow the link that iggi send u.. make sure u follow it exactly cuz i had such a hard time flash with the cd but after following the exact direction on the link...now i can flash every xbox ...

 

Hi and thanks again guys ...I got teh flashing done after burning 24 cdr ( maxell ) and 8 cdrw ( memorex ) but i used another brand for the cdrw ( maxell ) and it worked ...nice...BUT after reboot now i have an error 16 ........HELP NOW WHAT .... i spent enough money for 2 xbox now....lol...pleas help

Did you install a larger hardrive? If so it could be that you need to set the clock. Put back ur stock hd and set the clock then reinstall the larger hd.

 

yes i did install a new hdd and it was the clock but slayer did the trick for me ....now i am up and running....if anyone needs slayer pm me ..
