craxtion fails to load .exe

    lo all
    used craxtion for a long time now, and just got my new dvd-rw OptoRite DD0203, and now all of a sudden when i double click the .exe file to launch, the egg timer comes up for a little bit as normal but the app wont launch.
    i have registered the .ocx's yes
    running XP Pro

    I have the same dvd-rw and have the same prob with craxtion but i'm running windows me.
    time toplay around with the drive me finks.
