well first off, plenty of rappers have died, look up the rap war in kansas city.

    tech n9ne is tight
    i like all e-40
    scatterman is original
    twiatas old stuff
krazie bone is off tha hook
killa c is pretty different, hard to find though
fat tone & rich tha factor are good but hard to find too.

It could be a while till Detox is released or it may never be released. I hope he does release it as the chronic and 2001 are absolute classics.

I may have mentioned it before but "Mobb Deep - Shook Ones Pt. II" is defiantely worth the 5 minutes and 24 seconds of your life. It is in my all time top 10 rap tunes. Prodigy murders the song with his verse. Go buy the album "The Infamous" even if it's for that song.

If your looking for contemporary rap artists who really put out some great stuff try these- ELP, Jedi Mind Tricks, Kid Koala, and Mr. Lif. If you like just the intrumental stuff try DJ. Greyboy.
