hi there evnflow m8, hope u can help.

i got a psp v1.50 and i have followed all guides and readme's in putting fastloader onto my console. when i follow your guide on creating an iso with vcdromx, the iso file it creates is a WinRAR archive??? is this correct??? it is called .iso but is in a WinRAR archive??? do i then drop this into the iso folder on the psp??? i have been searching around for a week now to try and find advice on sorting this and from wot i can make out you are the man to ask. i have virtua tennis and everybody's golf and neither seem to work. also 1 other quickie, do i have to have a umd in the console when trying to play from the memory stick as that is wot i am doin. does it matter wots on the umd??? speak soon m8

please please please HELP!

@elsamboys...i'll pm you

@nutkins1..hello and welcome...ok yeah that file is fine...it may have a WinRAR pic for the icon but it is an iso(just to check...right click on it and select properties..if it says ISO, then you are fine)....just drop it in the ISO folder(what version of fastloader do you have?)...and it doesn't matter what umd you have in...you can use a game umd or the sample umd that came with the psp.....good luck, holla ;)

@nutkins...yeah you should be fine....just put it in the ISO folder...and load it up with Fastloader...

@all...i'm going to be gone for a few days so here's a recap of everything:

First off you need a psp with the Firmware version 1.50...this is the only firmware that fastloader will run on...for all with firmware version 1.0, you can grab Devhook(Hookboot Launcher)V.22, it will load up iso image files for the 1.0 ...
FASTLOADER V0.07
+PSP(also on the ROOT DIRECTORY)
| |
| +--- GAME/
| |
| +--- FASTLOADER/
| | |
| | +--- EBOOT.PBP
| |
| +--- FASTLOADER%/
| |
| +--- EBOOT.PBP
|
+SAVEDATA
+ISO(this folder DOESN'T go in the psp folder...it is on the same window)
| |
| |-< place my ISOs here(WINNING ELEVEN 9'S ISO(lfc-we9r.ISO))>
|
-+ISOMISC(backpic.bmp)(this folder DOESN'T go in the psp folder...it is on the same window)
|
+ISOSPLIT(empty) (this folder DOESN'T go in the psp folder...it is on the same window)

FASTLOADER V0.08
PSP/(this folder is on the Root Directory)
|
+--- GAME/
| |
| +--- UMDEMULATOR/
| | |
| | +--- EBOOT.PBP
| |
| +--- UMDEMULATOR%/
| |
| +--- EBOOT.PBP
UMDEMULATOR/(this folder is on the Root Directory)
| |
| +--- ISO/
| | |
| | +--- < place your ISOs here >
| |
| +--- core.bin
| +--- menu.bmp
| +--- config.dat

Vcdromx
download it and once you extract it...look for an icon called "VcdromX"...(I'm going to use Fifa as an example in this guide) open this file up and a window will pop up on the screen type in "C:\Fifa" and make sure that the "FCD" button is checked...now click the left "??" on the bottom..now go to the folder where you have the "PSP_GAME" and "UMD_DATA.BIN" files\folders and DRAG them over to the right side of the "VcdromX" window...once this is done go to the top left corner and look for a box marked "??F", click on this and then go down to where it says "????(B)" click on this..a window will pop up click "OK"...this will start to convert this file to an ".FCD" file...now once this is done go back to the top left corner and to the "??F" box..this time go down to where it says "??????C"..this will bring up another pop up window click on the folder icon on the top box and go to the C:\ and look for the file labeled "Fifa.FCD"...now click open or double click on that file and it will put that name in the pop up window that showed up...now click on the top right box ( next to the folder looking icon) labeled "??" and it will start to create an iso image file for you...you will have to close this window out because it will stay stuck on 100% once finished..but once it reaches 100% it is ok to close it...

that should do it....alright everyone talk to you all later...going on vacation, see you in a few days...holla ;)

think there is something wrong with either the iso's or the files i've got cos when i go into the memory stick, its says corrupt data. could you give me any sites to go on to get good files pls. pm me or sumthin? the ones i've got are the psp_game folder and the umd date BIN file. when i follow the guide to using vcdromX, it seems the iso it makes, is no good cos i'm putting this in the iso folder and cannot load it??? i take it you just go into the memory stick to find it???? thanks 4 ur time bro

@nutkins...do you see a smiley face icon? you are supposed to have a corrupt data icon on the memory stick area...are you wanting to convert movies from dvd to fit onto your psp? for that i would use PSP Video 9(it's free)...if you want i have a guide for it...

@pspfreek...Ya UMD iso shrinker works pretty good...leaves everything on the game...just takes all of the dumby files out...if you want it smaller and without music and the cutscenes..you can use a ripkit for it...

@zanda...hello and welcome to the site...you are going to need a PSP_GAME folder and "UMD_DATA.BIN" file for any game you want to convert back to iso format...you can't use the eboot file for it...let me know ALL of the files you have for your games before you tried to convert them to ISO format...

what's the newest version of UMD ISO Shrink? I found v1.0, but with that I can only take out the dummy files from 5 games...
Or is there another program, that I could take out the dummy files from every snigle game that i snow out?
I noticed that Black-Cats games didn't come in for me... Did they crash, or what happened?
