does anyone know if chorus is digital or mmds in kildare town. A friend of mine is looking to get a eurovox but isn't sure if it'll work there.

 

If he is receiving his tv channels by cable,the eurovox WILL WORK.If he is getting it via an MMDS aerial on his roof,the box WILL NOT WORK.

 

Thurles Town is on Cable, but they seem to be putting an MMDS signal through it. The Chorus box is an ITD-60, where Cork is an ICD-60.

Is it possible to use the Eurovox in Thurles.

 

Fancy buying 1 and letting us know.Eurovox works in Cork,maybe they are just different model numbers.What do you mean they are putting an MMDS signal down the cable?

I bought Eurovox Max 2007 today. Initially I had all the channels that I watch....suddenly after like 1 hour three of the channels say "INSERT SMART CARD".....what am I supposed to do for that?

check what the freq of the channels are manually re enter them in in your installation menu and do an autoscan.

 

These are the settings on the Chorus box:

14) Tx mode - 8 K
Modulation - QAM64
16) Code rate - 3/4
17) Guard interval - 1/23
18) Bandwidth - 8 MHZ
19) Hierarchy info - None

 

I'm afraid,I'm lost.How does that tell you its an MMDS signal

hello everyone
i just got a eurovox max 2007. I cant seem to get it to work, I do a power search, and it scans 770 channels. When its finished i go to look at the channels and it says channel unavailable. I live in dublin, ireland and have ntl digital.
Its sooooo frustrating.
please help

first make sure your cable is in the rf in socket on the vox, then go to installation ,yellow button for power scan, start search at 200mhz and stop at 400 mhz , if nessessary change the symbol rate to 6887 and ok, if everything is ok it should find 138 channels
but i must say mine has been perfect for a month but since ntl upgraded yesterday i am struggling to get my channels back

 

I was intending to buy a box tmrw but the last sentence above has me worried. Please advise??

there's new software for the eurovox that might help you all. I have ch"&%S and haven't had to upgrade mine yet (if its not broken don't fix it) but if you wanted to try upgrading your boxes for the nthell problems it's there. All the other boxes that are used on nthell such as starview and replay have all had to be upgraded because of nthell. Just a suggestion.

 

debic where can i get the new software? mine is 1-6-07 i am with ntl dublin and cant get anything since the upgrade

there's software for the eurovox max V dated july 2007. then the red box and blue box software is dated june 2007. Which box have you got.

when i first scanned mine i got 60 channels i did it again with the same settings and got the rest, worth a try lets know how you get on

about my own problem i downloaded a channel dump and got everything working again
