What type of games do you plan on playing? I have both KawaX and MameX but I hardly every play MameX. I have every single Neo Geo and Virtually every Capcom game on Kawa X. However, if you can't find Mame X then shoot me a PM and I can e-mail you everything but the roms.
Eggbert is right, to get the full mame experience you need both mameox and kawa-x, Mame for the old skool games and kawa for the neo geo games like egg said. egg, have you stripped down metal slug 3 to get it to play on kawa-x? I have it, but not yet stripped it down to get it to work, but what I was wondering was if it still plays the same as the other metal slugs?
I have a disc that has everything and would be happy to send you a copy. But, I didn't have to do anything to get Metal Slug 3 to work. By the way, have you played Shock Troopers??? The game is awesome!! PM me if you need some "info"
best way to get just about EVERY neo geo rom to work is use KAWA-X its fantastic (cheers for the disc eggbert mate!!) mame-x is pretty good for most other mame romsto get mame x and kawa x use MIRC efnet servers, #xbins (make sure you have a ftp client as you will need it to get files) I know a good working site for mame downloads, PM me
I wouldnt say not to bother with mame x, I have over 1,800 roms, at least 1,200 work fine on mamex (probably a lot more)
