    lo all
wondering if you guys could help me out with this issue, some person told me on another forum that the OptoRite DDO201 does not burn XBOX ISO's correctly, and hence they do not work.
i tried backing up Project Gotham Racing 2 last night, popped it in and would not launch, but managed to ftp into it and the files are there but just will not launch the game. (GET TO EVOX AND PUT DISK IN AND IS RECOGNISED AS GAME BUT JUST WILL NOT LAUNCH)
any answers if it does would be greatful
(i know ive posted this in 2 threads which iam sorry about but i thought its about my dvd-drive and xbox issues, so i thought i could get the best answers)

iggi re craxtion, if you have problems opening you may need the ocx files
    theyre available at craxtion.com
personally I find qwix to be the best iso creation tool there is

    G4MERZO1D,

If you have Record Now on your PC and want to know. I can tell you how to burn a XBOX game without having to make a ISO first.

I mentioned this before and lot's of newbs were getting confused so I kept quiet about it. I use Record NOW DX 4.60 to do this. This is the only way I have tried and know for sure works. I am sure you can duplicate it with NERO. I just haven't tried.
    Open Record Now
    Create a Data disk
    Click options
Select a DVD recording type = (Track at once(TAO),Closed.
Select DVD file system type.= UDF - Up to 128 in filename length, any char., plus 8+3 tree (bridge)
    click "ok"

Next click "add files or folders" add your game directorys and root files and then burn it.

Here's the kicker.. You can read the XBOX game in your DVD drive after you burned it. View the contents of the XBOX backup you just created in your PC drive on your PC. It reads the disk as if you are ftping to it.. Try that with a original

djboogie re craxtion, it worked fine until i installed my new dvd rw. now it wont open. I will try qwix as advised thanks. i'll also give motomatt's record now tutorial a quick try this afternoon. Gotta make the most of my spare time, its not often the missus pisses off out with both the kids ;)
