need help with x2.3 lite programmer

OK I flashed my bios incorrectly, like a moron, and now I reap the rewards: 400 dollar paperweight! After researching it, the only way to resurrect my xbox is to buy a programmer. Now, do I have to physically remove my chip or can I just plug it into where the switch plugs into? Are there any definitive tutorials on this matter? Searches have showed no love in this endeavor, I apologize in advance to those I make irate, and thank in advance those kind enough to help me or point me in the right direction!
