no prob with anyother codec encoding ,but all my efforts to encode xvid 1.1 to mpg/or diff format fail proggs tried=tmpgenc,cinecraft encoder 2.67,virtual dubb mod etc,dvd2avi, basicly ive tried my arsenal of encoders and all give errors and close,the film does play fine on wmp9+power dvd anyhelp to this encoding problem will be appreciated as more films are starting to appear with xvid 1.1 codec
dude there is no such thing as xvid 1.1 It doesn't exist, yet anways. so have u got a file encoded by xvid 1.1 or what. Csue frnakley it doesn't exist there is only xvid 1..0 out yet. that came out in april.
the XviD 1.0+ is still in development and more designed for the more advanced user who want to play with the latest and greatest ... at the cost of a lot of instability... THX A LOT , YOU LOT WERE RITE IT'S XVID 1.0 AND THE PROBLEM WAS I STILL HAD THE OLD XVID CODEC INSTALLED ASWELL AS THE NEW XVID1.0 ,DOH THOUGHT IT WAS A UPGRADE-ANYWAYS WHILST I SIT AND REALISE THE CAPS BUTTON IS LOCKED!!!!! uninstalled old xvid codec tmpgenc/options/direct show up a lvl ,hay presto let the encoding comence
