does anyone know how to network the mac ox 10.3 to an xecuter2 lite mod xbox? i'm sure it's something in the xbox settings, just don't know what. i've set + saved the ip address (192.168.0.103) on the xbox, but the evo screen still reads blank for IP. using tranmit2 for ftp...server doesn't connect. any info would be great. thanks.

ok i i now have changed ip to 192.168.0.2 and switched to a crossover cable and have the mac and xbox directly connected. i have static ip on (as per seamonkey's comments on another post). the evo.ini, now reads...under network type-static, ip 192.168.0.2. 100/fullduplex...still can not connect to server. any ideas? thanks.

into xbox but it never connected"

it has nothing todo with him being on a Mac or PC. In-fact OS
X is a much more network friendlier computer than any
    winblows OS.

    goodbog:

It all comes down to your networking. your net work setup
should be as follows for a home network consisting of 2 to 10
    machines.

first you'll need some kind of router/DHCP server either with a
built in hub or have a separate hub as a component. then you
need to set up your router as your gateway and DCHP server
to assign ip#'s to your clients(pc, xbox, ip appliance). then
have everything connected into your hub including your
router, you shouldn't need a cross over cable. for your
clients(pc, xbox, ip appliance) setup have it use DCHP to get
an ip address. make sure all your clients and router are on the
    same subnet mask...usually 255.255.255.0

Now from your Mac downoad "Transmit" a ftp client that can
    be found here http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/2759

after you've downloaded and installed transmit connect to the
ip# that your xbox is showing when you are running it.
username and password should be "xbox" without the quotes.

Now you shouldn't have any problems since I myself have
down what i stated above. I can easily access my xbox from
either my g4 powerbook or my pc desktop. and in-fact I get
better transfer speeds on my laptop then my pc.

if you have any further problems private msg me with your
network setup and i'll see what work arounds we can come up
    with.
