--I ripped a movie using smartripper and gave me .vob files (which I can make into a playlist and play on PowerDVD), but it also gave me these files:
vts_04.d2v
vts_04.idx
vts_04.lst
vts_04.ifo
--I am not sure what they do or how to use them. I can already play the movie fine but I don't get any menus or special features. Do these files give me menus?
--I would greatly appreciate it if someone more experienced at this than myself would tell me what to do.
Thank you,
vts_04.d2v
vts_04.idx
vts_04.lst
vts_04.ifo

To get extra footage, in smart ripper there is a tab called file(s), if you select this tab it will show all the files on the dvd, select all the files listed and you will get all the extra footage ripped to your HDD.
An .ifo is an information file, this contains the all the chapters in one group e.g. a movie is a group of chapters, their is several chapters in a movie the .ifo file groups them together.
