ok so here i am following the afterdawn.com dvd to divx guide http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/dvd2divx_anamorphic.cfm everything is going smoothly until the last part where ive got to compress the dvd with virtualdub i chose 2pass first pass then saved then i defer processing to run it in batch mode,then for the 2nd pass i followed the instructions to a tee and chose 2pass second pass and also deferred processing to run it in batch mode then in Virtualdub i went to file job control and pressed start only to get an error message saying "invalid log file" help! any way around this? i cannot do anything after this point,its the last step in the guide im stuck.
I have been given a similar obstical a while back. What I did was NOT do the 2-pass part, just do 1-pass. I really don't know if the quality drops or something, but it made it a lot easier to encode it. As for the log file, it may have been a mixup in the programming where it thought you were doing an ealier project under the same name, but I'm not in any position to say that's fully correct.
