external dvd burners/ copy right problems

i have a HP200e external dvd burner. i want to make back up copies of my dvd's but i run into a copy right problem. i have dvd decrypter installed but do not know how to use it to burn my dvd's. The dvd's i tried to burn are dual layered. i am fustrated. please help
