Hi Does anybody know how i can fit more than a few avi's files to one dvdr? I have a load of tv series files around 50mb to 100mb each in size but only about 3 will onto one dvdr, is there any software that will help?
Since you said you get 2-3 to a disc, I'm assuming (yeah I know - don't do that) you're encoding them as actual DVD-Video files. Unfortunately, you haven't said what you're doing now, so it's impossible to tell you what to do differently. I can, however, tell you that if they're hour long (probably 40-45 minutes without commercials) shows, 2-3 on a DVD sounds about right. There are ways to make the files smaller, but that will involve losing some quality. _X_X_X_X_X_[small]Backup A DVD With DVD Rebuilder & CCE Basic: http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/dvd_rebuilder_tutorial.cfm Good Guides To Get You Started: http://www.chrismccann.co.uk/user_guides.htm RTFM - not just a good idea, it's the law![/small]
let me make things more complicated some video are more compressible and some aren't so, you'll get a different size everytime. only when you want the best size for the smallest. its okay to overkill the bitrate. head on to http://forum.doom9.org/ the people there got a lot of technique ecspecially in xvid. i say you can get 6 hours max for a single layer dvd.
